About Mike Potvin
I built my first guitar in 2003. In 2008 I left my career as an IT geek and started Potvin Guitars.
While selling my own guitars, I started supporting other guitar builders who needed help by offering advice and tutorials on my website.
In 2014, I started designing and selling my own line of guitar-building Jigs and templates. That’s when I really started leaning into teaching and supporting other builders.
For the past 18 years, building guitars and helping other builders has been my full-time passion.

Full confession: the “Team” is just me (Mike) and the amazingly dedicated Mrs. Potvin Guitars.
I always say that I “just make the guitars”. Mrs. P is an amazing photographer, videographer, editor and story teller.
She generally stays behind the scenes, but she stepped in front of the camera for her GMA Course “Taking Better Photos Of Your Guitars”.
